When Armstrong points to a "wonderful world", he points to clouds, trees, friends, love, & babies. Which are indeed great, but NONE are human-made. I want to hear a song celebrating artificial wonders, such as lights, fridges, voting, stories, & computers. https://www.lyrics.com/lyric/9825539/Louis+Armstrong/What+a+Wonderful+World …

There's probably an important point about status here: you can't celebrate technology and abundance without a heavy dose of irony. One reason for this is that all the goods we're celebrating are heavily *marketed*, so if you're celebrating them you compete with ad campaigns.

But some stuff that humans made was made a long time ago, and no one today mades ads for them. Like say bags. Or controlled fire. Can't we celebrate them?
