in this area ESPECIALLY embarrass me. I once lost a lot of weight and had a super-thin-by-nature person repeatedly praise me and ask leading questions to try to get me to parrot the narrative she had in mind that I had "woken up" or something...and I wanted her to just STOP.

especially having struggled w this for pretty much all of my life, I know that there are ups and downs and I - despite trying - likely will regain some weight at points, the more effusive the praise, the more I cringe thinking about the past and the future.
