This has always been the plan. That flip-spin was evidence they weren’t meant to be manned. Its news in the way a company that builds a tank foe trials finds it news that the military might be interested.

Perhaps not the best way to word it. The way the rocket lands, the whole ol’ school sci fi rocket landing is neat but the design seems... impractical for any sort of manned mission. Great for cargo, though. Which was always the point.

No, I’m saying rapidly decelerating and then flipping and changing trajectory is a far better system for hauling non-living things.

Though, a sort of weird hybrid with space shuttle would be neat. Like reusable boosters and a detached pod.
