I do enjoy the X-maxing terminology.
Reminded of this by "sleep-maxing" @gaitanalyst .
In a thread elsewhere I was telling some Frens that time management is simple: list your top life goals, and then don't waste time on anything that doesn't push one of them forward.

2/ My three big life goals are: i) earn and save, so I can retire at 65 and work on things I WANT to work on ii) write books to leave a market on the world iii) improve the farm, to demonstrate virtue / stewardship

3/ "earn-maxing" is pathetic, tho ; sounds like some 25 yo in front of a rented supercar taping a youtube promo clip for his ebook on selling crap on eBay "book-maxing" also bad; I'm optimizing for quality / staying power / saying what I want to say, not optimizing for quantity

4/ you can Write Like a Beast an optimize your productivity at putting low quality shit on the page, if you want to ...but there is no Virtue there. so that phrase is no good.

5/ so, farm improvement it is not sure if I should claim to be "corn-maxing", or "pumpkin maxing" ooh "pasture maxing" has a nice ring to it ok, we're set
