      Luckily, our desired location has fault lines but not significantly bad ones, and is out of the Yellowstone blast radius.

      Oh, we would still die. From ash. The last time I looked at that map southern Georgia and Florida were "safe". Probably would still die of starvation. Honestly I think I might just drive to Yellowstone to make sure I die fast. Dying slowly later sounds awful

      Yeah, ive thought about this scenario. We've got enough food in the basement to survive, but it'd be insanely hard work. (No power, logging every week for 12 months to heat the house, scavenging for gas to keep the chainsaw going, then falling back on axes and mauls...)
