If that were the case, there would be no point in the fentanyl reference nor other health references since Jesus was obviously in otherwise perfect health. Further, Jesus fully complied. This *only* makes sense in equating St. Floyd as purely innocent martyr.

Those really are the worse BTW. The law doesn't just decide what is illegal. It also decides how crimes are to be punished. Just because someone is a criminal it doesn't mean they should be hurt in any way possible, just that they should be punished AS THE LAW SAYS.
-
Cops have one job: enforce the law. And must also obey the law. They don't have the job of taking laws in their own hand, nor of punishing people. Not even the worse of criminals, BTW.

Pilate said he could find no crime, that's why he washed his hand of it.

I think that's what they're going for too, but I can't blame people for interpreting it like Zero HP Lovecraft is. I mean the author doesn't even swap out the arguments that were used against GF so it makes it seem like a direct corollary. It's just poorly written imo.

This one gets to the point quicker. The other comic is too overwrought with text while this one gets to the point with a single image & word bubble.

If the Jews wanted him dead, they didn't need to go to the Romans to get it done. They had the authority to stone people to death for religious-based offenses. He was executed by Rome, for offenses against Rome.
