13/ I've had some folks tell me in DMs "well, there ARE scenarios where that 1 second matters; look at this case or that case" I ENTIRELY AGREE ! There ARE such scenarios. I am merely doing math on the LIKELIHOOD of such scenarios.

His concern reflects mine, additional steps between drawing the weapon and the weapon going bang MIGHT be the difference between winning/living and losing. The weight here is based on assumption that weapon not going bang means death. ND means lifelong debilitating injury.
