2/ I got a BA from an Ivy League college with a dual major in Computer Science and History, and ... it was one of the dumbest decisions of my life. The total value of the degree to my career was probably around $10k.

We paid off my wife’s student loans before she was 30. She was working poorly paid jobs, and we put spare dollars to it. The best thing to do with debt is retire it.

I only have student loans from law school, which (like medical school) is one of the types of degrees that is a barrier to entry on the profession and can be argued to be of some reasonable value compared to the cost.
