5/ I have never been more satisfied with the ROI on a purchase. First off, oil paintings look so much better IRL than any picture of them can show. There's a (literal) depth to the painting, where light penetrates in under the surface layer of the varnish and you can TELL.

6/ Also, the colors of high quality oil paints are astounding. The gamut https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamut is way larger than what you're used to with computer monitors or prints of artwork. There's a reason some paints cost hundreds per ounce.
