Sorry. I ask for advice and then don't answer. 2 just woke up and been feeding. & noisy. Abandoned for dead couldn't let the neighborhood dogs at them or listen to the cries slowly fade out the window.

The real question I have if I missed replies: Do I need to wake them up every few hours to feed?

If they are 6 days old, I think you need to feed them every 4 hours, and then immediately stimulate their rears to get them to pee/poop. I linked a web page earlier that seems to give good instructions. You also need to make sure they stay body-temperature warm.

They can't thermoregulate properly until they're about 2 weeks old, they depend on mother cat's body heat. Holding them close to your body can help, or maybe a heating pad

OK, good. I don't have anything more to say I guess. Good luck to you and the kittens. I have a stray cat here who's about to have kittens of her own.
