3/ voting has only been opening 8 minutes, but right now I'm thinking every URL gets: * printed URL http://morlock.com/ch12#47 * QR code of same * which takes you to page w ~50 links, but you are scrolled to correct link on page. Click that link -> amazon / tractor supply / etc

Whatever it is, please also include alternate forms of looking up your references, including ISBN, full title, publisher, authors' names, etc... I've seen too many URL shorteners go belly-up and nothing lasts forever on the Internet once it's been put into print.

Actual url plus description of where url leads. Many Amazon links or other things may be dead within a couple of years. QR code could be nice addition but my priority would be on readability in case that too becomes obsolete soon.

Manually typing in URLs and/or scanning in QRs are both laborious, and halt the actual reading. How about a link to an online page of links? A site which is formatted as: Page 30: Link related to X Link Y Page 31: Link Z Etc. People can open it before reading...
