* "Are going up" = there are various ballot measures, and if we vote EVERYTHING down, they go up 8%, if we vote as Our Betters on the Board of Selectman are suggesting, they go up 13%, and if we vote EVERYTHING up they go up 15%

3/ my property taxes are $12,660 / yr right now (which sucks, but, remember, NH has no income tax) a 15% hike is a rise of $1,899 / yr

4/ I see NH as good, long term, for low taxes and individual liberty. FF
@FreeStateNH ,@jeremykauffman, and others for more details. TLDR: everyone everywhere is ALWAYS fighting socialists, but NH has a pro-freedom culture and is doing very well. https://twitter.com/illiteralworst/status/1367097387618086914 …This Tweet is unavailable.Show this thread -
5/ yes. everyone says "Massholes are all moving there, turning it blue". No. Pull up a map of NH towns colored red and blue on voting. There is a red wall across the S border - low tax red tribe people leave MA and move here.https://twitter.com/postpostpostr/status/1367098568323047425 …

6/ I can not conceptualize the mindset that would use the word "seems" here. This is a question about math, and it is resolved with math. I worked the spreadsheet extensively before I moved, and NH is a clear win. >>> https://twitter.com/Archie79675316/status/1367111098181246980 …

7/ Were I still in my 1,200 square foot, 0.1 acre house in MA, wife and I would be paying a combination of $31,530 in town property tax and state income tax. Here in NH in a 5,500 square foot, 56 acre house, we are paying a combination of $12,660 property taxes and income taxes

8/ The combined NH property + income tax is 60% lower than in MA ... plus I can shoot my 50 caliber sniper rifle in the back yard, have bonfires and pig roasts, and breath free, far from the urban bugmen.

Yeah, I'm quite concerned about WA income tax. It's not like they'd lower sales taxes to offset. Heck, they may even pass the wealth tax (yah sure billionaires only, but that's just the edge of the wedge).
