This last is what most people don't get. One is not polite and graceful only for others' sake. One does the right thing for one's own best sense of self.

This is my stance for foes who are not actively evil. I'm glad OSB was killed, sorry it wasn't sooner & more painful. But for most, I wish them no more than political humiliation & public repudiation of their views. *just go away*

One commenter on that article made a great point: the same people rejoicing about RL also were just as mean-spirited about GHWB, & Barbara Bush, & Scalia, etc. This says more about their mean-spiritedness than their opponents.
