huh ... I just looked up population density in US and UK and expected UK to be much higher, but didn't find that US: 103 people / mi ^2 Britain: 172 / mi ^2 higher, yes, but not as high as I expected !

It'll look very different if you remove Scotland/Wales/The North. Looking at the parts of England where you can access London easily, it's much worse.

england has ~2500m^2 per person if we kick out london, though, that figure rises to over 3000 m^2 per person this is one of the reasons i favour london independence

by comparison, the north east megalopolis (bosnywash) in america has the same population density as england, but far less greenery (contrast flying into logan vs. flying into manchester)
