1/ I'm not in a bad mood, but I've got one small cranky thought: I don't understand when midwits come into smart spaces and say really really dumb things. I've occasionally hung out w, say, a bunch of physics PhDs who def have a std dev or so on me, and I am well aware of that

7/ (b) I suppress 90% of my "u r tarded" comments, and even then, I am caustic, mean, and unremittingly nasty to people, and I strive to be less like myself in that regard. So ... I just have to heard stupid things all the time, and can't respond.

I’ve concluded people are dumb /because/ they won’t take criticism or correction. We can’t expect them to learn by giving them criticism.
