1/ Feeling really terrible for the children right now. It must be so hard for them to stay home in a warm house, with three square meals a day, electric lights, video games, streaming media, video games, all of their friends available via webcam, and absolutely zero danger.

"Kids being forced to do the things I like doing is not that bad because I like doing them" is also a dumb take. Kids don't want to be in their house and away from other kids, we've forced them to do that for a year, and we'd recognize it as abusive in any other context.
-
Any other context is sort of key. It would be abusive to ration food to children outside the context of a famine. In the context of a famine, it's not abuse. It would be abusive to not allow kids to play outside generally, but in the context of the blitz, it's not. like, ok?

"children can transmit the disease just as much as anyone else" That's not what I keep hearing? https://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/146/2/e2020004879 …
