By "tension between" both, I am implying it will be a mix of both. I tend to lean towards the tree side, but I am not anti-tech

That said, a lot of "rocket ship" people have no understanding of complex living systems and naively believe all of our environmental problems have high tech fixes. Likewise, a lot of "tree people" might do well to not reflexively discount high tech augmentations

I automate as much as possible on my homestead. The tech advances that are coming, between 3D printing, cheap sensors, drones, skylink, and robotic assistance is going to be huge. Not to mention the expanding base of knowledge available on YouTube/LBRY/etc expand productivity.
