No, I messed up. It looks like the syrups have changed since my day. You’re right, the BIB fountain syrups are 1/5 diliution. That means a box will yield around 114 litres. That’s at the recommenced rate (we could adjust the dilution rate so we got a little more - maybe 130 litre

And of course, commercially you’re filling the glass with ice too, so using even less syrup. A regular small soda retailed around 79p to £1.10. Actual syrup cost was less than 5p. A pretty good margin which is why you often get free drinks or bottomless drinks.
