6/ I see a ton of people saying "Twitter is cancer", and ... they're not wrong. ...but they're also not right. Parts of twitter are covid-AIDS-cancer-rabies. ...and other parts are astounding. Great people, smart discussions, wholesome memes, good motivation.

7/ (Slacks, Discourses, mailing lists, etc. are similar, although not remotely as bad, because the other UIs don't amplify rage, stupidity, and emotional volatility nearly as much). The problem is that a teaspoon of feces in a barrel of wine results in a barrel of feces.

11/ You can't talk about how some people have inappropriate sexual attractions and discuss public policy to minimize harm to innocents without "HANG THE PEDOS, NO TRIAL, WAIT, NO, LIGHT THEM ON FIRE FIRST BEFORE HANGING THEM". You must mute people and terms agressively.
