2/ say she'd resign unless certain conditions were met, at which point Google quickly said, "Coo, resignation accepted." Is it fairer to say she resigned or that she was fired? If she submitted a conditional resignation, and the conditions were met, then she resigned. Contracts are sometimes really easy.
