1/ A week or so ago I was using my Bridgeport to make a tong rack for my forge, so that I could make a hook for wife's kitchen apron. ...and in so doing, I was forced to confront the fact that my end mills are stored in a cardboard box, like some hobo. Gotta fix that.

2/ Not sure how the Real Machinists of Yore solved this problem, but I'm thinking just grab a scrap of MDF, maybe 12" x 12", lay out a grid of holes on a 1" or 1.5" spacing, and drill holes. That should be a fun little project.

As long as you're going to the work I'm a big fan of plywood over particleboard. Actually even over real wood, except for the look, and they've started selling a really nice looking hardwood plywood at Lowes recently.
