1/ A week or so ago I was using my Bridgeport to make a tong rack for my forge, so that I could make a hook for wife's kitchen apron. ...and in so doing, I was forced to confront the fact that my end mills are stored in a cardboard box, like some hobo. Gotta fix that.

A lot of tooling is carbide tipped on tool steel or simply tool steel. Applies to router bits, mill tooling, lathe knives.

Here in Arkansas, you’re pretty much obliged to at a minimum waterproof all exposed plywood (my shop isn’t climate controlled). All the pegboard in my shop and garage are so treated.
