1/ A week or so ago I was using my Bridgeport to make a tong rack for my forge, so that I could make a hook for wife's kitchen apron. ...and in so doing, I was forced to confront the fact that my end mills are stored in a cardboard box, like some hobo. Gotta fix that.

I'll take a picture of that hardwood plywood that I still have a scrap of. I think you'll like the look. Ridiculously expensive, I think it was 60 bucks a sheet, but pretty.

Whatever you choose, saturate it in oil. Wood of any feather pulls oil off of your tooling and attracts moisture. I despise rust on machined surfaces and tooling shanks.
