1/ A week or so ago I was using my Bridgeport to make a tong rack for my forge, so that I could make a hook for wife's kitchen apron. ...and in so doing, I was forced to confront the fact that my end mills are stored in a cardboard box, like some hobo. Gotta fix that.

3/ In general, plywood is great. I use 3/4" CDX for most of my workshop projects. It's almost exactly the same price as 1/2" (believe it or not), is INSANELY rugged, etc etc ...but for jigs, etc. that don't take load, I prefer the smooth finish of MDFhttps://twitter.com/furnaceop42/status/1345014971462275072 …

As long as you're going to the work I'm a big fan of plywood over particleboard. Actually even over real wood, except for the look, and they've started selling a really nice looking hardwood plywood at Lowes recently.

Also a big fan of cutout tool storage that I first saw used in the military. Harder to not remember to put a tool back when there's a hole shaped exactly like it in the foam liner of your tool drawer.

I don’t know how they do it in Yore, but that’s pretty much how we do it at my brother’s shop. Spares live in drawers, but the workhorses sit in wood racks in easy reach.
