I just want to know l, if flu is down this year because masks and distancing work, but covid is still spreading because people aren’t masking and distancing enough, is this my logical fallacy, or someone else’s?

Seems quite reasonable to say that maskimg has cut base rates of transmission of both by 50% or whatever but covid is much easier to catch

Would like to know how effective things like this are, though there’s no way to ethically test it. Knowledge of the actual effectiveness is needed to do a proper cost-benefit analysis. We also need people willing to do a cost-benefit analysis.
