I try to never tweet about politics. I fail, like, 30 times a day. But I'm trying, Ringo, I'm trying real hard.

Maybe a $600 check would help?

A "swear jar" type account where you put money every time you talk about politics. Whenever it hits a certain threshold, you have to use to pay a farm hand to do something complicated.
-
Or even worse, you have to pay a farm hand to come over and just tell you about HIS politics.

Find some activity other people find valuable and set up a system whereby they "deposit" points into your "account" when you do that thing and then you can give the points back if they do something you want.
-
That'd NEVER work!

I find at least SOME satisfaction in typing the quippy reply then deleting it. 3 points if you skip that, 2 if you type & delete, -5 if you post. >=0 at end of day is a win, and If you’re +X, Morlock can have a little __, as a treat. If you’re <0, donate $20 to a cause you hate.

Recommend that instead of just "not engage in politics", you add a best response option of "redirected to productive alternative" due to limited utility of scowling and doomscrolling when immediate action of "don't hit reply" has been accomplished.

As for how - do you have a smart watch/could you set up a stress meter that you could use to activate a deadman switch if you settle in for twitting and get steamed? (Dunno if your vital signs would react so as to make this viable.)
