/ and, I agree, but this is a motte-and-bailey thing. They SAY you should criminalize homelessness, but what they MEAN is that you shouldn't criminalize all sorts of degrading-the-commons behaviors.
/ I agree, it should not be illegal to sleep on a friend's couch. However it SHOULD be illegal to crap on a sidewalk, leave your needles on a playground, or scream at the invisible people trying to take your secret UFO.
/ And my solution to this is much like my solution to crime: Put triple fences around a small town somewhere, put homeless people in there, give them debit cards that let them buy $40/day of McDonalds and liquor. If they want to leave their needles on the ground, they can.
/ Again, this isn't punitive. I suggest that we give them debit cards, so they can buy all the things they normally buy. I suggest that we stop forcing police to hassle them and move them off of steam grates. ...but non homeless crazy people have a legitimate interest in >
/ decent outdoor spaces. As always "Exit" is the right choice.

>> big state-like area, triple fenced, with jobs, apartments, liquor stores, etc. inside Admit it. You just want more source material for dystopian fiction.
