4/ Generate a LaTeX document, and print that. So we were printing thousands of pages per day. Needed some beefy printers. Found an HP printer for about $1k designed for this volume. It broke after a year, maintenance was $1k...so I just bought a new one.

5/ Repeat this a few times, then the model is discontinued. Change is fine, but...change brings risks. Unknown unknowns. Are used / remaindered printers out there? Yes! At $900. Cheaper than before, awesome.

6/ So we buy a New Old Stock printer once a year or so from this remainder warehouse, and price drops every time. Awesome. One day we get a phone call. "It's the warehouse. We're getting out of this. You want any more?"

7/ Depends, how much? "Umm...how about $300 each". How many you got on the shelf? "14" I'll buy all 14 off of you right now at $100 each. "Done!" Done.

8/ And that's why I've got half a dozen or so light industrial printers in the basement here at the farm.
