My favorite part of LOTR was when Boromir and 30 million of his buddies moved to Minas Tirith uninvited and then supported politicians who voted in favor of more transfer payments from and higher taxes on the natives of the cityhttps://twitter.com/Ejmiller25/status/1337929925765029888 …

4/ I agree that assimilation is real, however I have concerns: current US SJW culture is actively ANTI assimilationist and pro-divisionist (white elites cultivate ethnic groups as power blocks).

5/ showing that even 3rd generation immigrations (and, note, this is 3rd generation TODAY, so 1st gen ancestors were back c. 1970 or earlier, when US culture was pro-assimilation) are left of US native born center.

6/ And, further, assimilation works in both directions. Japanese immigrants to US end up eating hamburgers ... and Americans end up eating sushi. That's great when it comes to food or music or art, but less good if we find a middle ground between US historical libertarianism

7/ and the "strong man" political culture that's more common elsewhere. In the end, tho, my opinion doesn't matter, as I think that the US is already past the tipping point in terms of left-wing takeover. The good news, tho, is that the US won't last much longer.

8/ I agree w this. However, politics is always about building alliances between interest groups. American hispanics will never go full "latinx", but they will vote for more transfer payments, socialized medicine, etc.https://twitter.com/Ejmiller25/status/1338165432302391298 …

I misread! Would like to note that assimilation trends will pull all Latinos towards the center in voting habits.
