4/ and, as cringe as this shibboleth of gun culture is, it's not nearly as bad as what happens at any gathering of 6+ gun nerds: sooner or later some says "let's show our EDC!" [ EDC = "every day carry", i.e. "the crap in your pockets" ]

5/ so then all the gun nerds empty their pockets, ankle holsters, EMT bags, their OTHER ankle holsters, etc. and start piling guns, knives, tactical operations window breaking tools, EMT shears, six season tactical firestarting systems, etc etc etc on the table, freaking normies

One of the things I hated most about the military and writing briefs. Instead of using brevity and saying what happened, I had to break out the thesaurus and use it like a high schooler trying to impress his English teacher
