/ "You know what TTRPGS really need?" Yet another battle mat? "No, I was gonna say-" A low-fi rip-off of Gamma World? Haven't seen a new one of those in 2 weeks. "No, I was -" some re-tread of a re-tread with the word "-punk" suffixed on it? "No". <sullen> ok, what?

/ Never mind. "Come on, tell me" You'll laugh. "I promise I won't laugh." Seriously? "Seriously" I was going to say that we need a new RPG where characters can be pan-gender African-Asians in an Edwardian setting, except there's gay marriage.

/ But anyway, that game already exists. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/storybrewers/good-society-a-jane-austen-roleplaying-game … I'm just going to curl up in a ball with a 30 year old copy of Twilight 2000 and pretend the 80s never ended and Ronnie is president.

/ Each to their own. If I had f2f IRL friends any more, I'd def get board games ... but I don't, bc old. I tend to like hardcover TTRPG game books I can flip through.https://twitter.com/TheLumpenprole/status/1328802871664652299 …

/ I love universe building. RPG books are like 20% mechanics and 80% universe dumps. They're often better than novels, IMO.https://twitter.com/Isegoria/status/1328803444036165638 …

Huh, that's fascinating. I love some crunchy mechanics and have read several source books that I'll likely never play just to understand the systems. The fluff can be nice but you can't sink your teeth into it. Always interesting to see how someone else enjoys a similar hobby
