9/ Wait, I'm not the only person who heard of / read Red Markets ?!?! I wasn't in love with the mechanics OR the fluff of that, but I was in awe of how both of those helped explain / inculcate the left wing view of economics. 10/ >>> is what made me realize that I HAD to make an Aristillus RPG. I want 5,000 impressionable youth with no politics or economics to read it for gun battles, talking dogs, and space ships...and learn a thing or two about ROI, duty to shareholders, how investing works...

11/ yeah, I saw it go past! 99.5% of TTRPG stuff on KS is garbage, but there are nuggets of gold I backed it, of coursehttps://twitter.com/KrongarB/status/1328823708476170240 …

If you never intend to play, do you skip past the mechanics to get to the worldbuilding? Or do good mechanics inform the worldbuilding? Would you rather read an "RPG" book that's 100% universe dumps?

My nerdiest pleasure is reading Traveller deck plan books. GURPS Traveller Modular Cutters is a favorite. (Have a long-term campaign based on that I wanted to run, but, alas, I've only gotten Traveller on the table at cons.)

I like reading about the Culture more than I like the Culture books themselves (e.g. "The war, briefly" was my favorite part of Consider Phlebas)
