There is no science that says if everyone from Dunder/Mifflin stays home for two months but every fry cook goes to work and everyone has their food delivered rather than go to the restaurant. That will somehow slow the spread of the virus.

Bringing this down so I can look at it properly: "the lockdown is fake bc white collar people stay home but blue collar people work in trucks & stores" If this is an accurate representation of the mood, then most of the work is being done by the word "fake."

The way lockdowns, masks, etc. have been sold by the media class to the public (white+blue collar plebes) is these things are science wherein "science" means roughly "this seems like it should work."

The point is the hypocrisy. You are absolutely over thinking this and I say this as someone who overthinks everything. The particular rhetorical point is that the "lockdown" is control over the lives of Teh Poors while the educated still receive their usual goods/services.
