I’m far from convinced that “the Presidency confers lifetime immunity” is a better precedent. I don’t expect all pigs to be equal, but I won’t be mad about them taking him up on his dare to come get him. When you have skeletons, being a prick is a stupid plan. Stupid games, etc.

Yes. I’m not calling for truth and reconciliation committees. But at the same time, impunity for the ruling class has its own dangers, esp to a culture that sees itself as a “society of laws, not of men.” Brazen criminality has to be dealt with. Was Ford wrong on Nixon? IDK
