Oh I agree with that. My woodworking projects are shit. And not everyone likes logic puzzles. Just saying good code is mostly a matter of attention, beauty, and pride in craft not rarified intelligence. And all humans have things they care about doing well.

I guess the defining term here is skilled. If I just need a script kiddie to pump out some dumb shit to write to a db, anyone could do it. If I'm designing a new ride share app, maybe I need a skilled programmer. Problem is low skilled don't make 6 figures.
