I just don't know if I can deal with [shudders] /humans/ much longer. Maybe I'll take a soft vacation from the tiny hotel business, by which I mean raise my nightly rate 30% or something and see what happens.

Forty minutes past check-out time, 25 past my asking them to move their car from the neighbor's spot immediately, and neither of these things have happened. And if, in fact, they were smoking upstairs, there goes my painting day, as the afternoon will be scrubbing and ozoneing.

In a sense, I feel bad for these guys, with their Newports and failed pick-3 lotto tickets and cookies left in the desk drawer. Don't get me wrong, I can't say what I'd gladly do to them, but it rhymes with "nut their stoats," but nonetheless, imagine being them, poor bastards.

Second round of alternating vaccuming, wiping down, and fumigating with ozone. I hope this gets the cigarette odor out, I've never had it be this resistant -_-

Very unclear what happened here. I went to wipe off some cigarette ash I just found, and a bunch of blistered varnish came off the desktop. Cigarette left sitting on the desk and heat-damaged the varnish, maybe?pic.twitter.com/gxubUh9VN1

smooth it with a brush and walk away - should dry to 90% as good as new if it's already !@#-ed up, you can buy shellac flakes, melt in pure alcohol, and brush on
