Hmm, actually don't know but that's a possibility. I will give it a look this weekend I think. The Cajun accent is fairly similar to the very distinctive Quebec French accent, I've never made the connection but that would explain a lot of things.

It is the black/red plaid hunting jackets that distinguish Qubecois/upper New England French from Cajuns (I think they're kind of snazzy) plus they won't eat anything that flies/crawls/swims like Cajuns (who admittedly can cook and spice their food like no others).
