3/ If I am to buy a $20k car, but I could subscribe to some aspect of it and instead pay $15k up front and then a monthly fee, I'd far rather delay the purchase a month or two to save the extra money THEN buy it. And, yes, I understand the argument that my utility is diminished

5/ To some degree this may be bc I am neuro atypical, and am far more bothered by external dependencies, deadlines, repeating processes, etc. ...but to some degree I think the utility hit in the future is real, and I just appreciate that and have lower time preferences.
