3/ If I am to buy a $20k car, but I could subscribe to some aspect of it and instead pay $15k up front and then a monthly fee, I'd far rather delay the purchase a month or two to save the extra money THEN buy it. And, yes, I understand the argument that my utility is diminished

4/ by being without that car for the extra few months. ...but I'm more than willing to trade that utility loss for the future utility gain of NEVER WORRYING ABOUT ANY ASPECT OF IT.

5/ To some degree this may be bc I am neuro atypical, and am far more bothered by external dependencies, deadlines, repeating processes, etc. ...but to some degree I think the utility hit in the future is real, and I just appreciate that and have lower time preferences.

This is what I felt like when I heard about the arguments in that Radical Markets book, where you pay taxes on the stated value of your property and anybody can buy it at that price. "Sounds like a world of intense and constant anxiety"
