when I worked near minimum wage jobs I couldn't understand coworkers who'd order takeout food for lunch absolutely insane I packed leftovers or a sandwich made with $1 of ingredients, ate it standing in 60 seconds, never punched out people are poor bc they make bad decisionshttps://twitter.com/coldhealing/status/1310585278281781250 …

ⓘ Dogs don't have thumbs added,
jollyraptor @jollier_raptorReplying to @MorlockPI've got a way better story. A long time ago, my wife saw a couple begging at a street corner. Because the girl was young and pregnant, she invited them to our house. Though they could have had free food from us, they chose instead to order pizza delivered to our house.1 reply 0 retweets 11 likesShow this thread -

3/ I have a thread on people who work minimum wage jobs and who spend their money poorly. A commenter changes the topic entirely to children who aren't working and takes me to task for having a wrong opinion on a topic I never spoke on. Many such caseshttps://twitter.com/pieratt/status/1310591889679298561 …
ⓘ Dogs don't have thumbs added,
ben @pierattReplying to @MorlockPits funny how this sentiment completely ignores poor children, who of course we wouldn't blame But then if you can admit children are people put in circumstances they can't escape and didn't cause, then you'd have to start extending that logic to other people too ah shit2 replies 2 retweets 37 likesShow this thread -
Replying to @MorlockP
I don't follow you, clearly. "people are poor bc they make bad decisions" = this is stupid and seemed worth replying to for some reason. Legit my bad for engaging in trolling tho rookie move.

the "people are poor bc ..." was in the context of "people who earn $10 /hr and spend it thusly". I mean, obviously people born with disabilities, or in Vietnam, or whatever are poor for different reasons.
