I doubt the info in the headline is true (not reading the story, but there should be very obv gasping/struggling if the person isn't fully unconscious; if not unconscious, why on Earth not?!) or, if it is, then they need to go watch some dog/cat euthanasias to see how it's done.

As I understand it, the companies who could provide the necessary drugs want to "keep their hands clean", knowing full well their refusal will result in this horror. One of the ugliest displays of how self-serving principle ethics can get, imo.
