One of the least encouraging things I've seen has been people who were previously like "we can't get out of this until there is a vaccine" shifting to "even with a vaccine, we can't go back to normal"
-
-
When I talk about the upcoming vaccines, people discover that there are suddenly many more variables that they would like to consider People (cough Briz Luenig cough) who were like "force people to take the vaccine" when it was theoretical have gotten much quieter now.
-
In practice, "Get 1-200 Million completed doses out into the wild" yeah sure. But really? Once we have a vaccine distributed, we still can't have in-person sports again?

I suspect the idea is coming from news articles saying you can be re-infected even after having had it. If that's the case, it makes vaccinations kind of pointless.
-
I've seen indications that, for some other diseases, vaccines can create a stronger/longer-lasting immune response than actual infection does. But not all vaccines.
