The real question is what do you do when they start fires trying to burn you out. At that point, you're playing on their terms.

I’m getting concerned about such “margin of error” (better phrase?): where is the practical/moral/legal line where you can stop them before they deliver a lethal blow first. Substantial land seems wise: large buffer not crossed without obvious intent. Time to move.

Question is: do you wait for a sudden strike to land? Sure, if they enter then start stacking. Tweet referenced “firebomb”: once thrown, too late to deter. B&E provides an “over the line, but no grave harm done yet” margin; acting on firebomb thrown is past tense harm.

Once they’ve made entry into a locked or closed home, it’s weapons free.

Buy cameras for your property. Lots and lots of cameras.
