is there any evidence that they were found "in a double-wide" ? or is that just made up to stir outrage? official press release says nothing like that https://www.usmarshals.gov/news/chron/2020/082720.htm … my assumption is is that the 39 children were something like 39 distinct cases of parental abductionhttps://twitter.com/upstatefederlst/status/1299094441458905088 …

/ In fact, the press release includes details that almost explicitly disprove the "in one location" hypothesis > the rescue of 26 children, the safe location of 13 children

/ if I had to bet, "safe location" means "aunt wondered where the kids were, and mom couldn't be found, and Marshalls tracked down mom in jail on drug charges, and turns out dad had them the whole time" of course, press release phrases it in a way that makes it sexier

/ Anyway, it's fascinating watching people generate lies and inject them into the Discourse.

/ This is a good and smart take, Donut. In at least 1/3 of the cases, the kids were safe; implication being that they were w a parent or relative. I'd bet that most of the other 2/3 are custody disputes. BUT WE DON'T KNOW YET, and so we should chillhttps://twitter.com/DonutOperator/status/1299229450744328194 …
