As far as foreign policy goes, I got into Zeihan at just the right time ("He's got a point and also have you seen these amazing bilateral trade deals he made?"). Domestically, I'm pretty sure he bluffed the Fed into *not* triggering a recession *by accident*.

He's the worst freaking person in the world to be running the COVID response, and I'm sort of against his reelection for much the same reasons I don't like BdB b/c Incompetence *eventually* matters. And if 2020 was more 2019... yeah, I'm game for 1 more year.

I think Julien is also doing something here that people, especially journalists, do. Point at the extreme red tribers and QAnon types and say, “see crazy”. And then refuse to consider there are some reasonable arguments for the things he points out.
