I like @wraithburn but I disagree with every sentence in this tweet.
Cab drivers often owned their own cars in the old model as well as the new, and cabs are actually cheap.
Amazon rarely uses USPS, and when it does, USPS clears a profit.

Sure. Sample of drivers interviewed had self-described low savings and unpredictable employment (i.e. just Uber). They said that their car loan was somehow connected to Uber; not Uber itself but some other entity (likely an effective subsidiary IMO). 1/

Drivers did not seem to represent traditional low-risk loan recipients. My conclusion is that Uber expects a high proportion of these loans to go to collections, at which point they get a writeoff. 2/2
