4/ being 2/3 inside the tent, and pissing in rather than pissing out, to be outrageous and offensive. I've always preferred exit over loyalty, and loyalty over voice. It seems a violation of the social / ethical API to rally outsiders to attack the guy who pays your salary.

5/ If you take WaPo dollars, keep your mouth shut. If you want to mouth off, stop taking WaPo dollars. But is != ought. People are they way they are because it works, or at least worked in our evolutionary environment. That doesn't mean that I can't find them contemptible
