I guess I somewhat resent his ascent into Heaven now but if we could find a lock of hair . . .

but it's still tedious I'm not OFFENDED by the thread (well, not much), but it seems like intentionally digging into mundane details as an attempt to derail / poke fun

"women have the right not to be raped" what chemical is this right made of? "what? no, what I'm saying is that physical autonomy is the most important -" so are rights acids or bases? "wait, what?" I'm discussing in good faith! "are - are you? ok, well, I accept that..."

so are rights made out of _ENERGY_ then? Is that what you're saying? My point isn't re sacredness norms. I'm perfectly happy to discuss if Jesus was a person who lived or not, if he was divine or not ... but approaching a topic at 90 degrees seems less respectful than than 180

It seems inherently to be mockery, and of a low fedora sort (even though you assert it's not). Did Jesus even HAVE DNA? I dunno. Doesn't matter. God can create a universe; he can create a body with no DNA, with cloned DNA, etc etc etc

I learned in Catholic school that Jesus is not a half human half god hybrid, he is fully divine and fully human at the same time. My guess is God created his Y chromosome outright. Might even be a copy of the one he gave Adam.

this is my guess too Jesus was physical, had DNA (if anyone at the time did), and the DNA was Appropriate To The Situation which could mean anything

Not anything. He could not for example have been given magical mutant genes that give heat and thirst resistance or things like that. It's important for Catholics that Jesus resisted the devil's temptations in that desert without using superpowers.

please re-read "Appropriate To The Situation" which scoped and abounded "anything"
