3/ the realization that the Earth as a whole neither imports nor exports, so at the limit a small economy need have no purpose other than "to serve itself". CHI, could, in the limit, import and export nothing, and yet still generate value for its inhabitants.

Can't wait until he figures out some major cities are where they are because of geography. It's almost like building in some places is easier and/or more convenient than others.
