They're great for ham radio digital modes since they're so low-powered they can just be paired with the rig and quietly receive signals all day without tying up a real computer.

I have one that works great as a controller for my 3d printer. Contemplating another one for a media server but to do what I'm thinking is going to involve a lot of back end gruntwork.
